Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy - MBCT

8 week online course

This course is an evidence based course that has been shown to reduce low mood and depression symptoms if you have previously experienced this (particularly for people who might have experienced 3 or more episodes of low mood or depression).

The course can also help to improve your ability to manage stress in everyday life by learning to relate to negative thinking patterns differently.

MBCT works by developing our ability:

  • to notice thoughts, emotions and body sensations

  • to learn to be with difficult experiences

  • to relate to ourselves with more kindness and gentleness

Each class is a mixture of mindfulness practice, discussion about the practice and exercises from cognitive therapy. You do not need to share your personal history with the group.
